General

As an M&A Intern, you will play a key role in identifying and engaging with acquisition targets to support Mr. Marine's growth objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will assist in all stages of the M&A process, from target identification to initial negotiations, ensuring the smooth execution of strategic acquisitions.


Key Responsibilities  

  • Research and Identification: Use a dedicated M&A tool to search for acquisition targets based on agreed criteria with the CEO.

  • Target Evaluation: Discuss findings with the CEO, compile a long list of potential companies, and narrow it down to a shortlist after a thorough review.

  • Outreach: Contact shortlisted companies to assess their willingness to engage in a potential sale.

  • Due Diligence: Present and facilitate NDAs to enable information exchange and set up initial meetings.

  • Reporting: Regularly update the board on the progress of M&A activities.

  • Acquisition Process: Participate in the entire acquisition process, gaining hands-on exposure to strategic decision-making and execution.

Job requirements

Function requirements

  • Following an HBO or WO education with a focus on Business Administration, MBA, or a related field.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate companies based on financial and strategic criteria.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with external stakeholders.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Availability and Compensation

  • The internship duration and schedule are flexible to align with university requirements and your availability. This will be discussed and agreed upon during the application process.

  • Compensation: €500 gross per month.

  • Additional benefit: Commuting costs between your home and the office are fully covered.
